For a journal paper to be eligible to participate, the paper must be:
    In scope of the conference, see above for possible topics;
    Accepted in one of the journals listed on the detailed call on the website;
Accepted for publication after May 15, 2016 and before November 15, 2017.
If you would like us to consider a paper published in another journal of equal reputation to those presented in the list on our website, please contact the Program Chair.

    *Posters*
We invite submissions of high-quality extended abstracts for posters. Posters may present late-breaking research or work in progress. A poster can help attract interest and give a rapid overview of what your research is all about. At the conference, the work described in the extended abstract will be presented as a poster, ideally in interactive discussion with the audience. We especially welcome posters that describe proposed empirical studies. An attachment with a maximum of 2 additional pages must be included in the submission. Dear Friends,

We’re inviting you to set the agenda at
    RightsCon Toronto
(May 16-18, 2018) by designing and building a session through our Call
    for Proposals, open until
    November 24, 2017.

We’re particularly excited to see your submissions under the track for Digital
Tech and Sustainable Development, as well as Environment, Health, Land, and Labour. We are looking to expand the program on these issues for this year’s event, and it will be an excellent opportunity for collaboration across sectors.

    Why lead a RightsCon session?

RightsCon is home to the world’s leading community of movers and shakers in
the digital age. The event brings together policy makers, business leaders, government representatives, technologists, campaigners, and human rights defenders from around the world.
RightsCon Toronto is set to be our biggest and most impactful event yet, with over 2000 participants from 110 countries and 750 organizations.

    Leading a session is the
best way to make a direct impact
at RightsCon: from identifying and mapping problems, to connecting with the right allies and partners, and workshopping solutions and ultimately driving change. By getting involved in the program
and setting the agenda, you will gain expert insight, build new strategic partnerships, and influence global norms.

    What does a RightsCon session
    look like?

Timely, engaging, outcomes-oriented, and creative. We suggest you start by reading
    our submission guide,
as it offers helpful tips and suggestions for what makes a great proposal! There are many different formats you can choose from:

Need to get our community together to problem-solve a major challenge? Design
    a Fishbowl.
Want to launch or showcase a new internet freedom product? Do a
    Tech Demo.
Have a specific policy or advocacy strategy you want to map out? Lead a
    Workshop.
Looking to give a crash course on a recent development in your field? Give a
    Lightning Talk.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach in setting the RightsCon agenda, but the
key to a successful session is picking the right format to engage participants and achieve your objectives. Still not sure which format is best? We’re here to help, email us at
    conference@accessnow.org.

    2018
    Oldenburg University

The 10th BUIS-Tage 2018 (“CEMIS-Days”, Corporate Enviromental Management Information Systems) are organized by the Center for Environmental and Sustainability Research (COAST) of the University of Oldenburg. The focus is on “smart” cities and regions. The sustainable development of such structures is not limited to individual aspects – the interaction is crucial. The conference will present innovative methods and concepts in the interaction of science, business, politics and society.

The different information technology solutions and approaches are reflected in current (planned) smart cities and regions. These provide an indication of how the impact of sustainable ideas and solutions will impact the environment in the upcoming years. The conference aims to discuss innovative approaches (technical, economic and social) in expert sessions and show how corporate environmental information systems can influence these developments.

    Full version: http://ecis2018.eu/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/ECIS2018_Track29_Sustainably-digital.pdf

The aim of this theme track is to advance the ongoing, yet emergent, discussion on the role and relevance of information systems in the context of sustainability. It intends to provide thought leaders with a forum that accounts for the breadth of sustainability research in the information systems discipline in terms of environmental, economic, and social sustainability. Potential topics range from the design of systems and digital services for sustainability to the application of existing theories on change at the individual, group, organizational, and societal levels, as well as the development of new theory. We particularly look for rigorous research that shows that IS can have a "real impact" on the pressing issues of sustainability.

The track's topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

    - Green IS and Green IT in organisations
    - Sustainable IS-based Business Models (e.g., smart mobility, sharing economy)
    - Ecological, social, and economic impacts of information technology
    - IS-based Social Entrepreneurship
    - IS enabled sustainability education and training
    - Crowdsourcing and environmental collaboration
    - Convergence between Green IS theory and practice

We are looking forward to seeing you in Portsmouth 2018!
